Is there any sort of quick reference guide available that compares the activity of different radioisotopes to expected dose/exposure for that isotope?

Yes. There is a thing you can download called radiation toolbox. It gives the dose coefficients (what you are asking about from the point of view of ICRP. ECRR published different coefficients see www.euradcom.org: ECRR2010
