     This is somewhat off-topic, but can anyone help me find out how EPA 
derives "Reference dose" or "Acceptable daily intake" of a chemical for 
people from studies of tumors found in rodents fed almost their maximum 
tolerated dose over their lifetimes? Any clues on how I can proceed 
would be appreciated. Can anyone guide me to an e-mail list that deals 
with toxic chemicals?
