[ RadSafe ] Why Has Global Hawk type drone surveillance been put over Fukushima?

I do not know if anyone has thought of this, but since not knowing what is
going on is consuming the speculation on the media, it would seem like
having a continuous eye in the sky high over the plant would be very
valuable to everyone. It could immediately detect any explosions and show
the drift of any resultant clouds. I also wonder why they are not using
small drones with radiation detection air sniffers to surveil the
surrounding area. I also wonder why they are not using infrared detecting
aircraft to more quickly spot trapped survivors in the tsunami zone. I got
these ideas in the shower - recently, I had seen a video of a close ups from
a drone fly over of the Silicon Valley at the Museum of Modern Art in San
Francisco. The thing that was surprising is that this "artist" did this
with a large model aircraft and TV camera ten years ago. Technology today
is substantially more advanced.

Just an idea

Roger
