I understand that there is somewhat of an obscure rebuttal somewhere, but the NY Academy of Sciences false portrayal of Chernobyl casualties has just jumped into the big time – a video where the lead pseudoscientist behind this book is being interviewed by an anti-nuclear activist. Janette Sherman also has a connection with Leuren Moret and has allegedly claimed to have measured increased radiation from the DU tipped cruise missile that hit the Pentagon on 9/11. Yes, that is fantasy, but my understanding is that this book is too and the video is being fed into the fertile minds of those who live in Facebook and YouTube who are scared about what happened in Japan and eager to equate it to Chernobyl.

EnviroVideo has released an important new video, "Chernobyl: A Million Casualties." This 29 minute program is based on the book recently published by the New York Academy of Sciences that concludes that, based on now available medical data, 985,000 people died as a result of the Chernobyl disaster, as of 2004.

"Chernobyl: A Million Casualties" is now on the Internet at

Interviewed by Karl Grossman is Janette Sherman, M.D., a toxicologist and contributing editor of the book written by a team of scientists. The program was taped a week before the nuclear disaster in Japan began.

"Chernobyl: A Million Casualties" will air nationally on Free Speech TV freespeech.org ) on April 23rd. The 25th anniversary of Chernobyl is April 26. Its Internet release has been expedited because the true consequences of Chernobyl provide a baseline for what people should know as the impacts of the disaster unfold in Japan.
