I believe this is one of the best perspectives or overviews of the 
present state of climate science affairs that I've seen in recent years. 
It highlights the condition that:

*",,, it was clear that the first and greatest need was to establish the 
facts of the past record of the natural climate in times before any side 
effects of human activities could well be important."*

A personal agnosticism of anthropogenic global warming (AGW) remains 
because the above condition remains unfulfilled.
