We used to have one, we purchased it to replace a really old LKB Wallac (which
was a wonderful workhorse).  Unfortunately  we couldn't get our local Perkin
Elmer service engineer to keep the darned thing working.  We scrapped
the relatively new Perkin Elmer after putting out a lot of money on service
engineer calls and bought a Beckman Coulter 6500 Liquid Scintillation Counter.
We've been delighted with the Beckman Coulter unit.  Unfortunately, from what I
understand Beckman is no longer selling Liquid Scintillation Counters.  If I
were spending the money and in the market for a used Liquid Scintillation
Counter, I would look for a used Beckman Coulter 6500.
