Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, in this string (I have
not followed it closely).  But it may be useful to know that the
steady-state global inventory of tritium, due to the natural
production rate of 0.19 atom/sq cm/sec, is ~ 26 MCi.

This is from the 4th edition of Eisenbud and Gesell's "Environmental
Radioactivity" (Academic Press, San Diego, 1997).  They, for their
part, refer to NCRP Report 62, "Tritium in the Environment", of 1979.
