Upcoming Radiation Safety & Industrial Hygiene Programs:
Radiation Safety Officer Training for Laboratory Professionals
June 4 – 8, 2012 • Boston, MA
This fundamental 40-hour training program is specifically designed to train researchers and safety officers with the necessary skills to implement a radiation protection program in the biotechnology, university, hospital, or medical laboratory setting.
Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene: The Application of Basic Principles
June 11 – 15, 2012 • Boston, MA
This intensive one-week program presents the principles and practice of industrial hygiene and its basis in science, engineering, and medicine.
In-Place Filter Testing Workshop
August 13 – 17, 2012 • Boston, MA
This practical program prepares individuals to test and certify nuclear and non-nuclear systems containing HEPA filtration and gas adsorption systems, verify airflow in ventilation systems, and understand NRC and DOE requirements for these activities.
Radiological Emergency Planning: Terrorism, Security, and Communication
August 20 – 24, 2012 • Boston, MA
Participants will examine the latest principles and requirements to prepare for and respond to a radiological emergency as well as develop the skills necessary to effectively communicate with the media and public during crisis situations.
