It's OK as it is 'natural' and does not contain any deadly artificial ' 
radionuclides.  As I have said in the past it is OK to live in Denver as the 
higher background is again due to 'natural' radiation.

As I recall, massive amounts of granite were incorporated in building the 
Grand
Central Station in NYC, and as a result, radiation levels in the lobby 
exceeded
radiation limits for continuous public exposure. I wonder if that is still 
the
situation and, if so, does anyone care?
