Steven,

This article is astonishingly accurate, with one exception, but this repeats a common error made by many "learned" men (and women...). Gabriele and me have shown in the paper I described a few days ago, that there is an extremely simple and easy way to find out about a severe internal contamination with alpha emitters. It takes actually a few minutes, when you have the necessary , but common equipment (LSC counter) at hand. We used exactly the same approach as I figured out when I first learned in London about the incident and thought it could only be some alpha-emitter which had been used. The interpretation of some "scientists" in English newspaper were simply hairraising, but though Litwinenko lost his hair - another hint.

I recommend to read our paper.

Best regards,

Franz
