[ RadSafe ] An interesting article, "Germany sets weekend record for solar power"

Definitely something to be trumpeted.

The German solar plants exceeded the output of twenty 1 MWe nuclear reactors for just over 4 hours. 

This compares to the US nuclear industry's accomplishment of 37 straight years of exceeding the output of twenty 1 MWe reactors. Usually, exceeding it by a significant factor. 

The accomplishment is noteworthy but requires perspective. It will require tremendous storage to reach 24 hours.
