Yes, I wrote Mr Newall (as many others of you did) and received this
reply:

Dear Mr Bambaugh

Thanks for raising these concerns.

Rather than dispose of the Soddy sources, we are arranging to have them
stored safely in our Radiation Protection Service's store.
