Thanks for all the responses.  It turns out that some of the business
(by which I mean people) also ended up as Protean Instruments (dba the
same, but purchased in 2011 by Ludlum) and Spectrum Techniques.

Tennelec instruments (low background alpha beta counters etc) are now
part of Canberra Instruments - have been for quite a while - if that is
the same company you are talking about

Does  anyone know what has become of this business?  It was bought by
Oxford Instruments quite some time ago, but when I look at Oxford's
website, I see no mention of the Nuclear Measurements Group.  TIA and
