Title: MG: Environ Health/Protection – formerly EPD Environmental
Program Mgr. Paygrade: 19 Entry Salary: $4,347.71/month Position #:
00101060 Location: Air Protection Branch – Clayton County

Performs first line management duties of considerable difficulty in
managing the Radioactive Materials Program. Duties include directing the
activities of the Radioactive Materials Program to maintain a regulatory
program that is adequate to protect public and employee health and
safety and ensures that the activities of the Program are compatible
with the Regulatory Program of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Establishes goals and objectives and work load of those assigned goals
and responsibilities on both an individual and program basis. Functions
as a technical expert to other staff and external customers, including
federal, state, municipal and industrial officials, consultants, and the
public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an undergraduate major in Environmental Sciences,
Biology, Chemistry, Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental,
Mechanical or Sanitary) or a related field
AND
Four years of professional experience in environmental protection.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Physics, Nuclear Medicine or Nuclear
Engineering.
Experience in administering, or complying with, radioactive materials
regulatory programs, including licensing or permitting, inspection of
regulated facilities, and compliance and enforcement with applicable
laws and regulations.
