I watched the presentation, that trotted out so many unsubstantiated claims pulled from the usual sources. It is frightening that such an apparently competent doctor could be sucked in without questioning any of them. As an infectious disease specialist, he should have some understanding of epidemiology...... and the need to look for confounding factors.... but maybe not: there is no proven connection between Fukushima and most of the "evidence" trotted out. So the whales are not singing because they are depressed by Fukushima???

Unfortunately, his presentation was slick and no doubt he "converted" a number of the doctors in the audience ( a pretty captive audience - I think - as he has a position of authority in the hospital and community)

And as a snide aside: do doctors have to wear their stethoscopes as a "badge of authority"? and as an infectious disease specialist, when did he last sterilize his? I sure would not want that thing anywhere close to my body!

He's an infectious disease specialist!  Does he realize that radiophobia is an infectious disease that HE'S spreading?  He (as should we) should restrict himself to his area of professional expertise.

I suppose the radioactive plume wouldn't make it eastward all the way to Boston has the doctor states would happen on the West Coast!! This doctor should simply address. medical practice on things he actually understands and has evidence and facts.
