Air pollution in Paris gets so bad car driving is BANNED on alternate daysHow does France, a county that is one of the world's leaders in the use of Nuclear Power, find itself with such an air pollution problem in it's capital?  France has an abundance of affordable electricity, and unfortunately a legacy left over from the past century, which it shares with the rest of the world, of having its street level transportation industry powered by diesel and gasoline.  It seems so obvious that the answer is to somehow use electricity to power the transportation industry.  It is already being done with electric buses, trains, and subways.  Why can't it be done on a wide scale with all buses, trucks and automobiles?  Imagine what the air quality of Paris be like if it's transportation industry were powered by Nuclear power produced electricity?  How many people have to die world wide from preventable respiratory  illnesses before the inevitable change
over to an electric transportation industry?
