[ RadSafe ] State of Missouri pursuing help for cancer-afflicted victims of Cold Water Creek radiation

Roger,  USEPA surveyed this area in 2013, and concluded there was no excess of uranium decay products associated with the area.  As can happen in Missouri, there is a readily measurable radium content (as indicated by 214Bi in that survey) in the local geology. There is a strong belief locally that there is a cancer cluster associated with Manhattan era uranium processing and the environmental politics of the area are pretty intense, with some history (most notably, see "times beach" )..
