Dear Franz:

I always found that sultry July & August heat & humidity in Vienna to be
terrible. What did I do? I moved to the Upper Styrian Alps for 4 years
where life and climate make for great summers! I seldom came down from the
mountain in summer! I'd bike 3 times per week from Leoben up the mountain
on the Eisenstrasse to Präbichl Pass and sometimes to Eisenerz for lunch.
I'd then climb back over and race back down to Trofaiach. The fastest I
ever rode a mountain bike, passing busses on the way down was 98 km per
hour. A bus driver accused me the next day of exceeding the speed limit of
100 km/hour, but I explained that I had recorded my speed with my GPS and
it was only 98! For the rest of you, that's 61 mph! On a mountain bike! In
Upper Styria!

Of course, I had to learn the Upper Syrian Dialekt.

I bin dahoam in Trofaiach...
