Radsafe,

C-14 is one of the radionuclides that travels well in groundwater.
There is a pretty deep unsaturated zone in Saudi Arabia. Wonder if the C-14
would ever reach groundwater in Saudi Arabia??? Guess rainfall would
eventually transport C-14 downward.

Why is C-14 important to Saudi Arabia???

Thanks Khalid, it wasn’t specifically work orientated, but thanks for the
clarification.

Michael: IAEA publication is only a Guidelines. Yet, there is no approved
national regulation for ARAMCO activities in Saudi Arabia (and others)
except for NORM which is 1 Bq/g. I would suggest that you get the answer from
the formally assigned regulator, that is KACARE .
Regards-Khalid
