Dear Mike,
Greetings from Ashland, Boston.I am here on a brief vacation.
Welcome to the retiree's club.Best wishes for an equally productive retired life.
I gratefully remember the detailed discussions on a variety of topics in which you contributed enormously because of your deep insight on radiation protection issues. You expressed your views in a tone that encourages continuity. They were always pragmatic.
Nowadays our newsgroup has become totally silent.I still maintain the archives of what we said and argued! At times I look at them.
I am happy to note that you will continue in the newsgroup.
I developed science journalism as a hobby while in service. Then there were some official limitations.Expressing views without restriction is not acceptable for government servants.Pure literary and scientific activities are allowed.
I continued journalism and started contributing regularly to leading dailies. The sage continues.
Once again wishing you the very best,
With warm regardsParthasarathy

All the best! There is life after work and hopefully you'll be able consult a bit.
Best regards!

After 25 years in the Office of Radiation Protection, I am retiring to garden, write, and generally have more fun than I have on the job (if it isn't more fun, I am clearly doing something wrong). Tomorrow is my last day. As part of shutting down process I will Unsubscribe from RadSafe, to make the IT people happy. I plan to subscribe from home, but it might be a while.
