My thoughts (after being a member since 1994):

The list tends to stray from the topic of radiation safety quite often.  I have heard many say that they don’t use the list for that reason.  15 years ago I found employment from a posting in here.  We don’t see much of that anymore, either.

Probably off topic to radsafe list discussions, but Facebook model with quick dumb "Like" and "Unlike" buttons and LinkedIn groups have killed meaningful intelligence discussion, conversation and debate.

Plain text radsafe does not have slightest chance against the gimmicks and bells and whistles and graphics of popular social media, facebook, LinkedIn and (140 or 280 Character) Twitter,
