The "Quick Sort" method that Ron Kathern and others have mentioned following a
criticality accident is described in IAEA Technical Reports Series No. 152,
"Evaluation of Radiation Emergencies and Accidents". Several techniques are
given in section 2.6 including analysis of hair and blood. Section 2.6.2
describes the Na-22 "quick sort" method using a GM instrument placed in the
abdomen of a person bent over during the measurement.
