Radiation Safety Officer Position Opening

The Pharmaceutical Products Division of Abbott Laboratories currently has an
opening for a Manager of Radiation Safety.

Position responsibilities include:  Coordinate all aspects of the Radiation
Safety Program for the Pharmaceutical Division of Abbott Laboratories;
Develop and implement systems to facilitate compliance with all applicable
radiological regulations/requirements and licenses;  Manage one technician
supporting the Pharmaceutical Division radiation activities in Lake County,
Illinois.   Ensure that all radiological surveillance and monitoring
activities are performed as required by licenses, regulations or internal
standards;  Develop and perform radiological training for radioactive users;
Manage the radioactive waste system for the Pharmaceutical Division.  Support
Pharmaceutical Division R&D Safety initiatives such as EHS Management Systems
in all aspects of the business including Radiation Safety.  Manage all
computer systems for tracking radiological activity throughout the division.
Excellent computer skills a plus!
