Aspects of Recycled Uranium

The presence of transuranic (and fission product) elements was known when the
uranium "recycling" activities began on or around 1951. During that period,
standards were developed in order to limit the amount of transuranic, fission
product and anthropogenic uranium content within the "recycled" uranium product.

Joby Warrick of the Washington Post didn't make such a "discovery" in 1999.
