Algae
In addition to the radionuclides mentioned by David Whitfill, it should
be noted that in the Great Lakes filamentous algae are good
concentrators of Pu. In a former lifetime I used to do radiolimnology
of the Great Lakes. A friend of mine from Argonne who was interested in
Pu used to carry a supply of plastic bags in his pockets just so he
could collect filamentous algae from the shoreline at each of the
locations the research vessel docked each evening.
