Generally, extending the frequency usually results in a higher cost
per period, but since there are fewer periods, the overall cost on an
annual basis is less. However, there is not a direct reduction by
simply going o quarterly from a monthly wear period. There are still
factors such as inventory and use requirements and other associated
overhead costs that are factored into cost per dosimeter depending on
frequency of wear.
