An Even Worse Interpretation of My Analogy:
The point I was trying to make is that I'M NOT ASKING THE VENDOR TO DO
ANYMORE WORK !!! I AM DECREASING THEIR WORKLOAD. My analogy was
directly related to service provided only!; not the increased costs of
maintenance for a lesser frequency of service. As you know, that isn't
necessary for dosimetry. You chose to interpret my analogy in a way
that totally ignored my point. Thanks for the info on the cleaning
service. I'll keep that in mind.
As far as your examples for service contracts and having a base or fixed
cost...Thanks for the PGO (Piercing Glimpse into the Obvious). I am
well are that there is a fair fee for monthly/quarterly statements,
operating costs, etc. I guess in your terms I could state it like
this: I'M USING LESS ELECTRICITY. Remember, I'm the guy looking at the
statements and my budget as well.
