RE: Manhattan Project

Brian-

I was surprised to find a U.S. map at the link which you posted and click on
Georgia to find my company, which was suspiciously burglarized and demised 6
years ago, the most prominently highlighted of only 2 private companies
amongst the various government institutions in Georgia. This is a
conspicuously anti-nuclear site under the auspices of Caldicott and a host
of the usual suspects. Notations are included below some listed operations
inferring a pernicious nature to various sites (e.g., "polluted water",
"Karen Silkwood worked there"). Some investigation must have been involved,
as their sub-note for ATLAN-TECH,INC. (their capitalization) is that it is
(was) also licensed in Kansas. (Did one of these clueless go to school in
Manhattan, Kansas?)

I will reassure Governor Roy's aide that the only relation of Atlan-Tech to
the Manhattan Project (noting that we operated an office in Oak Ridge, as
well) was to provide services and equipment in support of the bountiful
legacy (productive scientific research and development) from the Project
that saved the free world, and that the quantity of special nuclear
materials involved did not much exceed the amounts of high-Z radioisotopes I
received in my mail-order science kits as a child.

Interesting glimpse into misguided minds and miss-spent energies.

The page at http://www.prop1.org/prop1/radiated/drh.htm lists all the sites
in the US that (they know of) are involved with radioactive materials,
either now or in the past. It lacks accuracy, but it may yield a clue
about a statement by folks that lack clues.

(obviously) my personal opinion
