gamma spec

Regarding the question on gamma spec LLDs (and I am not an expert
by any means on this), if you're a power plant, you need to set
your system up such that you meet (or exceed) the LLD's as
specified in Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications (or
in your ODCM). Those LLDs are "a priori" and are determined in
advance of any counting. Then when you do your analyses, the "a
posteriori" MDA's you obtain should be well below the required
     LLDs. Or something like that.

If you find "a posteriori" MDAs routinely above the required
LLDs, something is probably wrong with your system setup (count
     times too short for instance).

Check the LLD definition in NUREG-1301 or -0472 for details.
