Alternate explanation



	Although I would be sceptical of K-40 being absent from a
background, if someone around the detector has had a cardiac stress test in
recent history you might be picking up the 439 kev peak from the Tl202
contaminant in Tl201 used for the test.  Unlikely, but stranger things have
happened.
