Cloth-covered chairs in the Restricted Area

I'd appreciate some feedback from the nuclear power sector regarding surveying
out cloth-covered chairs for unconditional release from the Restricted Area
(Aux. Bldg.). Specifically, what instruments did you use? GM pancake probe vs.
NaI? This is to eliminate or reduce the potential for particles becoming
entrained in the chair fabric. Avg. beta average at our plant is 155 keV, and
as usual Co-60 is the main culprit/component in the radioactive particle.
Thanks!
