RE: Transfer of Radioactive Material to another institution

One matter that you need to consider, no matter how the radioactive material
is packaged or what the law is: If the professor is in an accident (which
we all hope doesn't happen) and it is discovered that s/he was transporting
"hazardous material" for business purposes, will the professor's insurance
company use that as an excuse to deny coverage? Mine will since I have
specifically claimed that I do not use my car for "business purposes", and
don't pay the impossible premiums for that coverage. If the professor is
stopped by a police officer for some reason and the material is discovered,
will the professor's insurance company cancel the policy? All in all, I
judge the chance of either to be not worth the risk. Send it FedEx.
