Re: pocket dosimeters



If you are considering using a more sophisticated electronic 
dosimeter, this may be acceptable. If you're asking about the older 
types, using a 0 - 5.0 mSv or a 10 to 50 mSv pocket chamber, they 
are not as acceptable. The most important issue to deal with is 
that they highly under-respond to low energy x-ray, and, they are 
highly geometry dependent. If you do wear one, ensure that a 
passive dosimeter is worn as well, to determine the true dose to be 
reported and recorded.
