Scott, with all due respect, I believe you missed an opportunity to
provide a response from a state regulatory perspective. You chose
instead to attack Mr. Crane, primarily because he is a lawyer, and
not a health physicist. Have you now established a new threshold
that one must attain before they provide their opinions on Radsafe?
Mr. Crane provided input on a topic that has not only been
addressed on Radsafe, but within the NRC, states and Congress.
Does he then not have a right to provide input? I suggest that he
dose.
The opportunity you missed is as follows. You stated:
1. > It isn't a matter of cost.
You should have then proceeded with all of the factors that a state
agency considered, beyond the cost issue, as to why KI isn't a
feasible alternative to reduce a potential dose.
2. > Your agenda on this topic is misguided.
Why is the agenda misguided? A terrific opportunity once again to
provide a different perspective.
It's better to attack a position, with facts and data, and even a little
opinion thrown in, instead of attacking the messenger. When you
do that, you lose the argument outright.
I personally would like to see more dialogue to the pros and cons.
We've seen a little, but not nearly enough to convince me one way
or the other.
