Re: Critics Allege Infant Mortality Rate

If the reports are correct:

(1) The same incidence of cancer and other illness increases would be
observed in every country and in every location where there is a
nuclear power plant, or other nuclear facility.

Fact: This has not been observed

(2) The emissions from a nuclear power plant generally are less than
the natural background found within the vicinity of the facilities.

Fact: No report has been able to validate any statistically valid
conclusion demonstrating that there has been any increase in
incidence in most areas when compared to the statistics prior to the
facility start-ups.

Fact: If there is a problem, there would be more consistency

Fact: As previously stated, most of the data used in the various
reports do not take into account much of the meteorological data that
is available. By ignoring this readily available data, they have
invalidated any conclusions put forth.

Fact: In many 3rd world countries, the infant mortality has actually
improved, and this includes areas around nuclear facilities.
