All that the project has accomplished is to find the typical uptake
of Sr-90 in infant teeth (if the analysis was done correctly) based
on what wa submitted to them. What they haven't shown is
whether or not these levels are the same for infant teeth in areas
where there are no nuclear facilities. That is why the statistics are
so poor, and don't follow any recognized sampling methodology.
An analogy is for a poll to be taken that wants to prove that the US
Govt. acted unfairly and like thugs in the Elian Gonzalez raid which
took him from a home in Little Havana (an area I know all too well).
To prove this they ask for support. Well, all the support comes from
the Little Havana area, and there we have statistics that show 98%
of the population believes that the govt. acted horrendously. What
would you expect to come out of a poll that is driven by a select
group, a small segment of the population. In the case of the Tooth
Fairy Project, I wouldn't expect to find individuals in NON-nuclear
areas around the country to send in their infant's teeth. They don't
have the incentive.
