Chernobyl deaths (Swedish mass media)

FYI: I saw a large variation in the numbers of Chernobyl deaths given by
Swedish media last week. The most commonly given number was probably 15000
deaths (no references).

In contrast, and according to IAEA (via Gunnar Walinder), more than 100 000
unnecessary abortions were performed in Europe after the Chernobyl accident.
I have no idea how they made this estimate but if it is correct we may ask
who should be made responsible (I would vote for the media and some
politicians).

My personal reflections only,
