Oh NO!!! Captain America's traded in his T28 for a Rooski Jet!
Say it isn't so, Gail Richards!

Goody, as soon as Norm gets enough wind turbines going, He's going to know what
it feels like. The California Condor lovers are already fuming about birds being killed
by turbines, and just wait till some other arm-chair scientists starts talking about climate
change caused by the alterations of the wind patterns.

>to solar

I mentioned privately to Norm that solar just doesn't add up. When I was a kid, I
read Heinlein's science fiction, but when I grew up, I learned to calculate the truth.
(OBTW, I still read and love Heinlein, but recognize it as fiction.)

>to hydro

We've already got just about every major source dammed now, and the environmentalists
are yelling about fish spawning problems, etc, and talking about taking dams down.

>to wave

Come on Norm, for a while I though you were really trying to learn something. The first three
you mentioned are at least feasable, but nobody's done any real tidal generation.

>to fuel cells.

And where do you get the Hydrogen? More specifically, where do you get the energy
to strip hydrogen? How do you handle it?

>As well as a real commitment to efficiency.

My current electricity supplier will pay me to give them an older, less efficient
refrigerator, and will also dispose of that bad old refrigerant too. That's a commitment,

Once you get your "efficiency" up to around 90% or so, (already achieved by
many furnaces, hot-water heaters, etc,) going from 90% to 95% doesn't buy you
diddly.

Norm, any idea why the power companies have capacitors periodically located
on their power poles?

Darn it Norm, for a while I thought you were the type of person that could get their
blinders off. Now I'm considering any discussion with you a waste of my time and
this list's bandwidth.
