SENIOR SCIENTIST POSITION AT BECHTEL NEVADA



SENIOR SCIENTIST

Bechtel Nevada, a prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy,
has an immediate opening for a Senior Scientist position to ensure the
operational effectiveness of the Dosimetry Program at the Nevada Test
Site, 60 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada. U.S. citizenship and ability to
obtain a security clearance are required.

Candidate shall provide accredited dosimetry to employees to conform to
requirements; develop plans to insure that users are properly monitored
for external exposure to radiation and intakes of radiological materials;
and assist in development of radiobioassay sample plans, review all
radiobioassay results, assess intakes, and assign doses as appropriate.
 Candidate shall support operations of the NTS Emergency Management
Center and DOE Emergency Response Organizations.

Candidate shall possess BS in Health Physics or related discipline, or a
combination of education and experience, plus five years experience in
occupational radiation dosimetry, internal dosimetry, dose assessment,
and DOE Laboratory Accreditation Program (DOELAP).  The candidate
should be American Academy of Health Physicists certified or be
progressing toward certification (passed Part I exam).  Advanced
degrees are desired and can be substituted for a portion of the
experience requirement.
