Subject: Klystron X-rays

Radsafers,

Does anyone have any experience on what X-ray output I can expect from a
450 kV Klystron, and the attenuation of the resulting X-rays in lead? For
a Klystron, IAEA Technical Series Report 188 recommends using the output
indicated for a 900 kV X-ray tube, operating at 1/2 the beam current, but
attenuation data is only presented for Klystron voltages up to 300 kV.
Thanks in advance.
