DOE Lab Trailer
The Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project has a nice laboratory trailer in
need of a new home. The trailer is owned by the DOE and a simple transfer to
another DOE-owned site would be ideal. The trailer is only 5 years new. It
comes complete with built-in cabinets, sinks and a full-sized fume hood. The
laboratory has been used for geophysical testing of mixed-waste materials at the
Weldon Spring Site. It has low levels of natural uranium and
technologically-enhanced Th-230 contamination in the fume hood.
If another DOE site doesn't make use of this trailer, then it will probably be
demolished to support unrestricted release surveys (due to inaccessible surface
area considerations) - therefore rendering it useless.
