Re: radon in limestone



Tom -  Any radon comming from Ordovician limestone is most certainly coming from recently decayed radium, not the original sedimentation process.  The source of the radium could be from geochemical transport by groundwater or decay daughters from co-deposited U and Th in the sediment.
