Re: BBC's take on the recent UNSCEAR announcement

I have no wish to particularly defend the BBC but you should note 
that the statements made in the BBC report  which are not in 
accord with the UNSCEAR report are not those of the BBC 
themselves but of the Ukraine government and the organisation 
representing the Liquidators.  The Ukraine government in particular 
continues to issue official figures of excessive radiation related 
mortality and morbidity.
