Position Announcement

Mallinckrodt, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of
radiopharmaceuticals, has an immediate opening for a Health Physicist at
it's facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri (a suburb of St. Louis). This
position will be responsible for all facets of operational health physics.

Typical duties include: Perform internal and external dose assessments,
conduct process and area audits, participate on various teams providing
radiation safety input, perform shielding calculations by hand or using
MicroshieldŽ, become a key member of the Emergency Response Team, review
radiation, contamination, and air sampling surveys, provide Health Physics
training to varied audiences, and provide oversight for counting room
equipment maintenance.

Qualifications (education, experience, special skills) include:

* B.S. Degree in Health Physics or closely related field
* 2 to 3 years applied Health Physics experience
* Working knowledge of applicable regulations
* Exceptional computer skills, VAX/VMS experience a plus
* TLD program experience a plus
* Available for overtime, scheduled returns and emergencies
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
