Re: Styrofoam Smears for Tritium

When I was associated with a radiological lab, we used styrofoam smears for tritium contamination checks. These worked real well. The only problem is using a thin wipe. If a wipe is too thick, this interfered with an accurate assessment.

Does anyone have experience with using styrofoam smears for tritium? Is there a vendor that makes a so called styrofoam smear? We are preparing a bid for a cleanup/survey for release and the client has specified styrofoam smears. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
