NORM in fertilizer
It may be of interest that in Michigan, K-40 is found in soils on average from 8 to 10 pCi/g. 50 pCi/g doesn't strike me as "highly contaminated," it's only 5 times background. Our radium guideline requires remediation for sites with radium over 5 pCi/g, where background is 1 pCi/g. Of course radium and K-40 are two totally different things!
