Calibration Standards data

Radsafers,

I am evaluating calibration standards that have been stored in HDPE
containers. The solutions are in the 3-4 N acid range and are from 3-8 years
old.  Has anyone encountered plating out or diffusion of nuclides into
plastic? How will prolonged acid exposure change the nature of the
permeability of the polyethylene?  Is there any hard and fast data out there
on plastic bottle storage vs. stability?
