Remember, all a notarized statement means is that the person who signed it
had their identity verified by a notary public.  I wonder why it wouldn't be
an
affidavit under oath?  That wouldn't necessarily make anybody more careful
about facts.  I was personally involved in two incidents with
evironmentalists that involved the falsification of information under oath.
