RE: Dosimeters
Chris,
For our Co-60 irradiator (~110 Ci) we used TLD-800's (Li2B4O7:Mn). They
have an effective range of 5E-7Gy -- 1E5 Gy (5E-5 rad -- 5E7 rad). We use a
Harshaw QS-3500 TLD reader to read the irradiated TLDs.
They only "difficulty" in using these TLD's for such a high dose is that
they have a non-linear response above 200 krad. So be sure to calibrate
your TLD's carefully...
Good luck,

All,
We are looking for a dosimeter that can be used to measure a dose of
100,000 Rad as a quality assurance "tag" for projects going to a Co-60
irradiator for irradiation. Anyone know of a way to do this?
Respectfully,
