TMI, Hershey, and radioactive milk?
The message below was sent out to an email list I'm on. Comments from

Someone who for the time being wants to remain anonymous sent me the
following last week. He & his colleagues were sworn to secrecy.
The milk farms are near Mechanisburg, Pa. 13 miles from TMI. Let's all
keep in mind the ongoing cover up:

To answer some of your questions:
1. Hershey asked the court to seal the I-131 data from their two milk
farms,
>stating that it would hurt them financially if the data got out. I feel
confident this is no longer the case, although it does point to the
enormous
power a private co. has with the court.
You should know, too, that a number of us have seen cow milk data from
near
Mechanicsburg, PA, showing >21,000 pCi/l I-131 from samples collected from
two farms on 29 March 1979 (second day of the accident). These farms were
about 12-13 miles west. The cattle were on hay, not grass; hence, this
I-131
was inhaled rather than ingested.
During the TMI trial, we were sworn to secrecy regarding these data;
however,
a number of us have decided to go public with it, since it is such a
valuable
confirmation that much more I-131 (and other radionuclides as well) were
released.
